Sunday Shufflin' is a fusion of blues and jazz swing, born from the combination of musicians from different backgrounds who complement each other perfectly.

Saturday afternoon (free)
Enjoy late spring in our lovely historic city. On Saturday we host an outside social dance at the Kouter. A lovely square right in the city center. Have a dance, grab some ice cream and enjoy the afternoon.
Sunday afternoon (free)
On Sunday afternoon, we have a very special social in the recently renovated Wintercircus! Tell your friends and don't miss this unique opportunity to have a drink and dance in this historic location! For free!

Performance
On Friday we will host a one chorus showcase. Meaning several small choreo's of approximately one typical AABA chorus (16x 8) to encourage anyone to showcase their creativity.

Saturday
Competition
On Saturday we will have a small and fun competition. If you want to join, simply be present at the party :)
Bake a cake
Help out some hungry dancers and bake and bring a cake to the main party on Saturday. Apart from providing your fellow dancers with some much needed energy, you might win something!

Saturday · The Hop 'sh Bam Connection
This sextet plays the real swing from the period between the 20 ties and 50 ties. The biggest inspiration is the repertoire of the marvellous ballrooms of the thirties, as for example the savoy ballroom in New York. The Hop 'sh Bam plays tunes on which lindy hop dancers could go crazy. The quintet plays the beautiful standards of the swing era, and also some tunes of the exciting bigband period, or even some tunes of the new Orleans repertoire, more Charleston inspired. As the bandleader, Marie-Anne, is a swingdancer herself, she knows how to put an inspiring and diverse setlist together! She adapts to what is happening on the dancefloor ... An excellent band, full of energy, with a big focus on the pure art of swingmusic. Nice to listen, nice to dance, ... move and groove!

This band will deliver a mix of swing, shuffles, and slow blues—ideal for a long night of dancing and movement.
With Wouter Van den Broeck on piano and organ, Olivier Vander Bauwede on harmonica, Sam Opstaele on guitar, Pieter Mortier on double bass, and Bernd Coene on drums, they create a sound that effortlessly balances the intensity of the blues with the elegance of jazz.
Inspired by swing blues, original jazz, and 20s swing, Sunday Shufflin' delivers a dynamic performance with a constant sense of tension: from electrifying shuffles that fill the dance floor to moments of pure intimacy. A band that moves both lovers of authentic blues and devoted dancers.
Our wonderful DJ team for the weekend consists of Aaron, Bauwtie, Loulou, Marijke, Val, Stijn, Watermelon Man, Hot Soup, Tobi & Viggo. Get ready to get your socks blown off with their swinging tunes!
